A not-to-be-missed musical event featuring some of NZ's most celebrated musicians plus a free tango lesson beforehand! Earlybirds open!

Join AOTANGO Quintet and the Auckland Chamber Choir for a captivating evening of tango, world music, and dance.


AOTANGO features violinist Andrew Beer (Auckland Philharmonia Concertmaster), pianist Somi Kim (NZTrio), double bassist Gordon Hill (Auckland Phil Section Principal), jazz guitarist Kathleen Tomacruz*, and world champion accordionist Grayson Masefield. This marks their third annual International Tango Day Concert, celebrating the vibrant spirit of tango and its global influence.


Experience the New Zealand premiere of Misa a Buenos Aires (Misatango) by Argentine composer Martín Palmeri - a stunning fusion of the Latin Mass with the passion and rhythm of Argentine tango. The performance features soprano Dr Morag Atchison, the Auckland Chamber Choir under the direction of Dr Jono Palmer, and AOTANGO Quintet, joined by cellist Matthias Balzat (NZTrio), violinist Lorna Zhang, and violist Francesca Fong.
