— THE MARRIAGE SERVICE

The marriage service is a service of worship of God. In this context of worship, two people publicly declare their love for each other and promise to journey together in that love for the rest of their lives.

At the Cathedral, we value the opportunity to work with couples thankful to God for their love for each other and wanting to ask God's blessing for the years ahead.

You can find out more and view our wedding venues below. When you have read all the information about being married at Holy Trinity Cathedral, please fill out the online enquiry form.

— THE BLESSING SERVICE

According to the practice of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia, we welcome same-sex couples to celebrate their love and commitment with a blessing of their marriage.

The blessing service provides a meaningful opportunity to affirm your relationship in a spiritual setting, surrounded by a loving and inclusive community. The Cathedral embraces diversity and aims to create an environment where all couples can feel valued and recognized. By offering this service of blessing, Holy Trinity Cathedral honours the love you share and encourages a deeper connection not only with each other but also with the wider faith community. Whether you're seeking a special moment of recognition or a sacred space to celebrate your journey together, the Cathedral welcomes you.

The Cathedral is a safe space for those in the Rainbow community and is a proud member of the Safe Space Alliance.
