Since 2020, Holy Trinity Cathedral with the The Friends of Holy Trinity Cathedral has helped to collect thousands of food items to donate to Auckland City Mission through the Cathedral Christmas Can Tree Appeal.
This year, we will repeat our efforts in raising awareness of the needs in our community this Christmas as the cost of living continues to rise and government funding cuts have severely impacted the Mission's ability to do good.
The Christmas Can Tree Appeal, in support of the Auckland City Mission, stands with the thousands of Aucklanders in desperate need this Christmastime.
Our tree is built and will be ready to receive donations of non-perishable food items from 1 December, right through Advent and Christmas.
— HOW TO GET INVOLVED
- Visit The Christmas Can Tree at Holy Trinity Cathedral any time during Advent and Christmas. Bring your friends and family!
- Help us grow our Cathedral Christmas Tree from donated food cans:

either GIVE a gift of one food can or more to the Christmas Can Tree at Holy Trinity Cathedral

or DONATE an amount for us to purchase cans on your behalf at the Cathedral office or at the Givealittle page (link below)
- Tell everyone you know about the Cathedral Christmas Can Tree! The more people who have the opportunity to donate, the more people we can help!
